I have heard that old joke about "Americans have so many pounds of undigested red meat in their intestines" for years, AND IT ISN'T SO!
At the clinic I manage, our Doctors do colonoscopies all the time, and we have to do a "bowel prep" which means the patient takes nothing by mouth except for a liquid laxitive the night before the procedure. This cleans you out! Completely! And no one has lost more than a pound ir two, and most of it is water!

I know Americans eat too much red meat, but that is seen in heart disease and being overweight, not carrying around undigested meat in their tummies!
