I grew up in a mid-sized town in Iowa...they're all so true.
But for my money, nothing will ever top the time we visted my grandmother who lived in a town of less than 100 people, about 6 blocks square. By the time we got to her house, somebody on the edge of town had seen our van and called her to tell her we were there...
