I think I saw Blue Hawaii in the theater at least 5 or 6 times. Mind you, admission prices in 1962 were considerably less than they are now. I think it was about $1.50 at the first run theaters, and $1 or less at the ones that ran it when it had finished at the first run theaters.
I saw all the first 3 STAR WARS movies twice in the theater. Once when they first came out and then again when they were released to the theaters again a few years later.......we took the kids then and they were totall awestruck. Our oldest two were only 3 and 1 when they first came out.
And I saw Titanic at the theater 3 times. Not because of Leonardo, but because it was just such a wonderful love story, and for all the exacting details that James Cameron was sure to include. |
