Men...what do you notice about a woman's place the 1st time you visit?
After reading the "women's" thread I realized that at some times in my life I wouldn't have gotten a second date from a couple of women. In fact, during some really hectic times, I think that the "Exit Watcher" might have just bolted. Too bad though, like pictures, those times are really only a snapshot of what my life is really like.
So...what do guys look for the first time at a women's home?
Tidiness is more important than perfect cleanliness. My tolerance for rough edges is pretty high. But if things around the house seem to all just put down
not put away, it does set me off. Since I work outside, I might have a bit of dirt or sawdust on me. In a super tidy house, I feel a bit edgy.
The book and music collection have always given insights. Have the books been read or just collected? Do our music tastes overlap?
Pets...I've been around "Love me, love my pet" women. That wasn't a great way to start. Puts everyone else second to the pet. Don't get me wrong, I like pets. I have a cat and would love to have a dog. But, they're pets not children.
What room is "home"? The best is a great-room or den, even the kitchen. If it's the living room and too formal, I wonder...How is the bedroom setup? Crash pad, lioness lair, throne room or home? Head board, four poster. Mirrors.
Since I'm a shop/garage guy, what does her garage look like? Tools, especially power tools are a plus. How are the skiis, tents and camping gear stored?
if there are kids, how do they function in the house? Involved or is Mom their servant?
