I'm in an "open" marriage allthough it has yet to be opened. In other words, my wife has told me that she would not mind if I had sex with another woman provided she is able to have sex with another man. We have talked about this alot. The thing for us is we have had each other as partners and no one else so we feel the need to sow our oats so to speak. We will take what we've learned back to each other. We are secure enough with each other to know it will not ruin our marriage. the thought of one of us being with another person is a turnon because we know we will return to each other.
