Oh geezzzz...you've guys have been busy!

Let's see...

Me:
Ummmmm.....ummmmm.....ummmmm

Bought and installed (3 x's) an above ground swimming pool

JHCOAB! That's all? That's my year so far? I SUCK!!!!!

I have to say that I haven't been lazy. Just really busy with family situations that have prevented me from doing anything for myself. Mr. Lixy was sick and hospitalized...and so was big sis.

I'll work on doing more/better in the coming months!

Let's see, in the past 12 months I have...

played a (very) few gigs with a band of other old geezers
survived to see my 50th b-day
watched our baby boy start high school
finally found some gainful self-employment
faced down a judge in my disability appeal
finally got my SSD benefits (w/back pay!)

other than that, not much has happened

making it to 50 may have seemed like the easy part, just keep breathing...but family history combined with certain lifestyle choices say I've beaten some long odds...

Wow you all have been busy! Last year (24-12 months ago) was my busy period....but this year:

Changed jobs (1/06)
Started my MBA at Berkeley (9/05)
Found two new soulmate friends
Bought a bicycle (LOL)
Volunteered for a socially responsible company

<sigh> Slim pickins. But after the year I had last year, I wanted a quiet year.

I keep coming back to this thread and can't think of anything noteworthy.

Was my past year that uneventful??

Had my 5 year wedding annv.
quit my old job for a MUCH better job

In these last 12 months:

Eased the last of the fledglings out of the nest.

Dearsweet & I drove from Charleston, SC, across the country to Ventura, CA. I even checked out a bit of Nat “King” Cole’s “Route 66”.

The last 12 months ... hmmmm ...

. PAGAN 2006! and the chance to meet 9 other Pixies! Has to top the list.
. Our 43rd Wedding Anniversary and 46th "Meeting" Anniversary!
. The two of us getting to see Niagara Falls for the first time is right up there, too!
. Family picnic with our kids was a wonderful experience.
. The dinners out and country drives are always a favorite.

Oh, yeah, can forget the two "DEER" friends I made at the park.
