*Superstitious*
I know we have recently discussed luck (Sar's fortune cookie thread) but is anyone here superstitious? Do you have things you must do to keep the universe in check? LOL! Anyone with OCD and wants to share......
Here is mine......
I am superstitious about taking tests at school. If I make an A on my first test in a class I try to recreate all the same conditions for all further testing. I actually made a professor re-enter the lecture hall from a different door once because I was afraid he had f**ked up my system. I know , I know, it would be easier to just study but not near as obsessive I also never study the material in the classroom on the day of the test.
Anyone else have routines or things they do to ward off bad karma?

Every lottery ticket I buy...it has to have the #13 in it..or a combination of 1-3....unlucky or not..I have to play it.
(But I am leaning towards the unlucky cause I still haven't won after all these years..LOL!!!!!)

I have to go outside everynight, just when the big dipper is at 12 o'clock, and make sure it's there. Don't know why, I just don't feel right unless I see Ursa Major standing on her head...

I like your style, Diva! I do the same thing, but never really thought of it as a superstition. My birthday is the 13th, so it's always been a favorite number.

I have never posted before, but, one of my many superstitions is to talk about them when asked!
I used to play alot of hockey, and football (soccer), 2 very superstitious sports, so i got:
Always dress from left to right, and in 'order' i have always used.
Always stand throught a game (hockey & soccer) even if i'm not playing
Always move my feet in a certain way during national anthem (again even if im a spectator)
Never sing the national anthem (I'm English, its not such a big thing here... to me anyway!)
Always 'tap' the top of the door of the changing room as I leave it before a game
I could go on...

And all these come from an Athiest! strange really!

One (of many many more) reason why I decided leaving my wife was her superstition. She believes in witches, black and white magic and much more of that kind.
One day I had some money laying on a furniture that was of an old woman that my parents knew. My wife didn´t trust that woman thinking she´s a witch. I used some of that money for paying the ID card of our daughter. When my wife found that out she was completely pissed and ripped the new ID card.
