Home remedies?

In chat the other day we were just talking about things to use on a persons body for things such as scars, infections and other such things...I learned the following.....

witch hazel is good for itches and hemoroids.
olive oil is good for everything (says our resident chef)
garlic cloves inserted in your kitty is good for yeast infections.
yogurt is also good, have your SO dip into yogurt during sex and it helps with the yeast infection too.

So what other things have you heard or tried to cure something.

Also, after having a baby and trying to dry your milk up....red cabbage leaves inserted inside your bra. (I tried it but it didn't work for me...wanted the pain to stop so I tried everything.)

WANTED: a moment when you kiss someone and eveything around you becomes hazy. And the only thing in focus is you and this person and you relize that he is the only person your suppose to kiss for the rest of your life. And for one moment you get this amazing gift. You want to laugh and you want to cry. Cause you feel so lucky that you found it and so scared it will all go away at the same time.

ahhh..ummm.. well i guess you could use the yogurt during sex...but plain yogurt in "his" own tub, a 3x daily dipped dick will help from preventing a yeast/thrush infection to get passed back to the woman. I would reccomend that the tub get labled with "not for consumption" or the man's name all over it.... Other wise Lilith could use it for her "devious" thread!

Olive oil is good for regular massages, and to massage on scars

Honey has strong antibacterial properties and good to use on cuts, abrasions, and burn blisters after they have been cooled with cold running water.

mint toothpaste (not gel) is good for bug bites and stings.

Hot baths and showers cure aches and pains. It also is a natural pain reliever in labor and delivery. (more hospitals, birthing centers, docs, and midwives are using showers, tubs and pools to help women birth their babies)

fresh parsley is a good breath freshener

fresh flowers brighten the area and one's mood (unless one is allergic, then nevermind)

if you put a couple of handfuls of baking soda into your hot/warm bath water it will help to draw toxins out of your system.

If you have times when you blood is thin and not clotting well, drink jello (before it sets up).

if you have an infection (puss) in an area like a finger or toe, soak it in VERY hot (as hot as you can stand it) salty water, that will open up the pores and the salt will help draw out the infection.

Oh and if you have an earache, someone blowing cigarette smoke into your ear will help ease the pain....that's if you know someone who smokes!

fzzy...a hair dryer set on warm (not hot) and low will have the same effect as the cigarette smoke blower will! It's actually the warmth...not the smoke...that helps.

Toothpaste or ear wax can dry up a fever blister/cold sore if you have nothing else around to apply.

Tooth paste (not gel) will also work on drying up a zit. Clean face well before bed a dab of toothpaste applied to the zit and off to bed. Usually by morning it's looking and feeling better.

I'd say take him for a long walk in the evening, I'd think that movement should help him get things moving in the right way.

If this has been going on for a few days and he has other symptoms, such as lethargic. I'd take him to the vet to make such he didn't eat something to cause a blockage.

Thanks Sal!...I'll take him for a looooong walk this evening. That might do the trick.Come to think of it,I don't think I've ever taken him for a walk.He gets his exercise in the back yard. But, I think you're right, a continuous brisk walk might just be what he needs

Not to be confused with blowing smoke up someone's ass...

An EMT that I work with helped one nite when I burnt my hand. I didn't have anyway to go and get help or water around so he adv I use mustard. And you know it took the sting out. Was still red but did not hurt. Two side affects though 1. a yellow out line to the redness and 2. the smell

Got a jellyfish sting?

Always...I MEAN ALWAYS...carry a plain meat tenderizer (as opposed to a seasoned one) with you to the beach!!!!

The reason? Sugarbeet!

Check the label to make sure it's not just MSG...but even if the main ingredient is MSG, more than likely you'll get relief!

Trust me...I scuba dive and see many a jellyfish! Meat tenderizer is an immediate remedy!
