Missed me
That's not a challenge, Eris.
Sunday afternoon, we had a very sudden, majorly severe t-storm come through the area. Not quite tornados, although it easily could have happened: there were tornado watches. PEPCO/BG&E/Dominion Virginia had about 430,000 customers lose power: the majority of them in my county. Weird thing is, about 15 minutes after we lost power, I uttered some random spell (not "lumos!") from the Harry Potter series (yeas, I've been re-reading them). Ths lights instantly came back on.
There are still some people without power and will be until Friday. And the local ISP & water companies were among those that lost power. I didn't get internet back until sometime this morning when I was asleep. Lot of traffic lights out, causing a lot of overtime for traffic control officers.
And the storm has been blamed for at least three deaths in the area, plus one in Pennsylvania.
