What is...
The funniest movie you have ever seen?
The saddest movie you have ever seen?
The scariest movie you have ever seen?

Let's see the funniest has to be Caddyshack, the scariest was The Exorcist and the saddest would be a toss up between Shane and Old Yeller.

For humor, I still love "Support Your Local Sherriff." That's one of the funniest shows I think I've ever seen. And, I think I'd agree on "Old Yeller" as being one of the saddest. But, I'll have to think about the scariest. Hmmmm. Not sure right now.

Funniest .... Arsenic and Old Lace is the one that comes to mind .... the physical expressions and gestures of a young Cary Grant .... quite literally made me fall out of my chair laughing.
Saddest ... Can't think of one off the top of my head, but then I usually go for action/adventure, mystery/suspense or romantic comedy when it comes to what I watch.
scarriest ... (since I don't watch FRIGHT movies) I'd say that the scarriest movie is Wait Until Dark ... lots of good suspense and such in that one.

I guess I should answer my own questions...
Funniest - on first viewing, 'A Fish Called Wanda' but for repeated viewings I'll go for 'Clerks' (and it is my fave movie)
Scariest - another vote for 'Alien' although 'Jaws' gave me the willies.
Saddest - hmmm, when I was a kid 'Charlotte's Web'. As an adult, and I'm still trying to pin down why, 'Gattaca' always puts a lump in my throat when Jude Law kills himself near the end.

The funniest is a toss-up between "Philadelphia Story" and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
Saddest...I'm going with Bardog. Either of those will do.
Scariest might be "The Fog".
