Hooters...
is planning on opening franchises in Israel, with much the same menu as here, and the same uniforms on the waitresses. Hooters said it will consider offering kosher food if requested.
Further existence of "infidels corrupting the Holy Land", or evidence that freedom of choice gives people what they want. Whaddya think?

I think that their food will probably be just as bad in Israel as it is here. No idea at all what kind of statement having a Hooters makes about people's freedom of choice though.

I don't think that they go for the food IowaMan, I think that it is for the other thing.

I suspect that if people are offended ... they won't go ... and if they go ... they weren't offended. But, then, wadda' I know. I've never even been to the Hooters in Peoria.

I've only been to Hooters maybe twice in my life. The food is nothing special at all; you go for the group socializing more than anything else. It's not really a place to go solo unless you have friends working the bar there. And the girls in the t-shirts...meh. Average. Not bad, but...they never would hire the kinda women I'D like to see working there, like full-figured and voluptuous. I think the novelty of whatever Hooters was supposed to be has dried up. At least in this city, where you have tons of variety and ethnic restaurants to give you better food. There's nothing you can't see better by going to a regular bar & grill.
Israel has nothing to worry about. Starbucks would be a worse threat if you ask me!

Funny, because Hooters hasn't even come to Britain yet, as far as I know....pity really, could've provided an alternative career opportunity for me when considering returning to work!

Never been impressed enough to go there myself...always struck me as if Mickey D's opened a titty bar...
