Gardeners who love Starbucks
If you ask them they will give you grounds for your garden.

Yup, at my Starbucks they have them in a basket titled "feed your plants for free."

They gave me a gigantic bag full for my compost bin at school. I was thrilled.

If it kills your orchids, it sounds like grounds for a lawsuit.
(Thanks Lil)

I have plenty of leaves. The Lost Boys filled the compost Friday. I'm glad to have some good wet stuff now. Of course my car smells like Starbucks too now.

We consume enough coffee in our home we always have plenty of grounds for our compost (not to mention that by not dumping them in the trash has kept us from needing an extra trash bin). Coffee grounds are wonderful for feeding the garden, small particles of moist organic matter is the perfect start for what nature does so well.
I'm guessing that if we had to pay $4 per cup, we'd be bankrupt by now....

I was told that placing a banana peel on your stag- horn does wonders for it's health. {I'm talking about the staghorn that hangs in my garden, not the other one.} You don't have to go to Starbucks for your coffee grounds, any coffee you brew at home will do quite nicely. Also rotting fruit, egg shells, etc.are great for the compost heap.
