Mama Gena's School of Womanly Arts...
... did anyone catch this on 20/20 tonight? I didn't see all of it but pulled up the site for anyone who did see it... or is curious. I haven't had time to puruse the entire site, but it looks quite interesting ... perhaps the pixie ladies have been there already

Some of it sounds ok for those women who feel they need to discover themselves and increase their self-esteem. But I am not so sure that one course would be worth $750 to me!!!!
What I don't like is the section on "The Womenly Art of Owning and Operating Men." That sounds like a bunch of head games to me especially after she (Mama) says that women (which is somewhat true) were basically owned and operated by men for ages. I guess I wonder how teaching a woman who has felt owned and operated how to turn the tables make it better? I don't know - I would rather have open communication and function as a unit with my man rather than "train" him to do as I want him to do for my own satisfaction...

You mean to tell me that there are women that don't know how to own and operate their men?
:bang:
Not that I don't love you, honey...I just wish you weren't so good at it!

The little bit that I caught of it on 20/20 showed the "stepford wives" type of women... obviously we all know that ALL women are not of this mold. Mama talked about the importance of seduction... and from what I followed of it, her "owning the man" was about seducing him rather always waiting for him to seduce... sort of leveling the playing field.. you have to sometimes give to get... made logical sense to me but many of these women always waited for their men to initiate sexual activity...
