I just recently found a new outlet to punish my body into (hopefully) fitness and health - martial arts. Though my lack of flexibility, stamina, and balance (probably because I have poor core strength) makes me feel like the class retard (and it's an intro class), I'm learning good stuff and I'm sure all the punishment is worth it.

Have any of you or do any of you don(ned) the angry white pyjamas?

Many moons ago, I took judo lessons to satisfy my Sports requirement at school. I remain justifiably modest about my accomplishments. I progressed all the way up through a Yellow belt.

I used to practice Aikido, and every now and then, make some efforts about getting back into it.

I've occasionally dabbled in kendo, as well.

What style(s)?

In my intro lessons, we get taught the basics of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Shootfighting, then choose either or both at the end of the intro. So far I've learned a couple of BJJ takedowns and armbars.

While exposed to Tangsudo and Hapkido, I've studied Taekwon-Do the entire time.

Which do you prefer...any idea yet? Personally, I'd be more apt to take interest in Shootfighting just because I like hitting more than grappling, and I like elbows.
