Unhappy A Chilling Wind From The North

A very special dog of a very special Pixie was put down today. For a dozen and a pair of years Solon has been the center anchor for our ........ beloved ........Steph, and absorbed all the goodness this pair was given to keep the universe in balance.

This life focal canine spent his puppy years along the cliffs and beaches of the great North Atlantic Ocean where he loved water and sand and enjoyed the real winds of summer and winter on "The Rock" of Newfoundland. This created the distinctive character he would use in the wide and full life ahead of him.

Moving two and a half thousand of miles to the west, for the next few years he reveled in the splendor of Canada's Rockies. His heartiness lent well on the mountains and glaciers in Jasper National Park.

His sophistication was completed in one of the world most cosmopolitan cities where the person he owned was allowed to display his celebrity as he taught her all the complication of humans endeavor. He was a astute learner, a tolerant teacher, an indulgent companion, but most of all, a true friend. I know he is going to be missed in ways only other long-term pet people know.

My most sincere condolences

I've been a lurker up till now. Call it serendipity or a tragic coincidence, but I sympathize with you completely. I was forced to put down my best and most loyal companion this Saturday. She was my everything for years, the only thing that helps me at this point is thinking back to all the wonderful times we shared romping through the fields, swimming and sharing our time together. May the same memories ease your soul in this time of grief.

Sincerely,
g.

celticacrow, that was very nice. Welcome to non-lurking part of Pixies and please don't be a stranger. Sorry for your loss on Saturday. We lost our cat Pokey a couple of years ago and it still seems like he should be waiting for us on our porch to go for a walk with us. The good memories go on forever!

The snow clouds don't show there being a Solon II for a good while, OldFart.

As a post-lurker, Celticacrow, you probably know a number of us have walked up that valley. Accept our condolences with the knowing comfort yours provided.
