After smoking for 38 yrs I started taking Chantrix around Christmas and it works real well thru the day .As long as I'm moving and busy I don't think about smoking. But when I sit down of an evening usually around 7 t0 7:30 and watch tv I'm climbing the walls by 8:15 . What are your ideas to occupy the mind and time until time for bed?

Can the time you take the Chantix be altered? Could you take it later in the day? Call the Dr. This drug has really worked for a lot of people. Maybe you just need to tweak something.

Also, find something to keep your hands busy. I do crochet or needlework to avoid eating.

Started taking the Chantrix a little later in the day, then found a stress ball in the shape of a boob! I'm happy now!! I also set and sketch new projects to help occupy the mind some.

I've had no side effects from it at all Lilith, and I would recommend it to anyone . In 2 weeks time I went from almost 2 packs a day to 4 cigarettes a day, now its been 2 weeks without smoking. The biggest problem was getting over the panic of being out of cigarettes.

It has worked for everyone I have talked to. I'm hoping my mom will give it a try.

for the caffiene addicts here........
Jan. 1st was the last time I had a regular Mountain Dew. Before this I would drink between 3 to 6 20oz bottles a day. I was feeling awful and thought I would try cutting them out. I now drink caffiene free diet Mountain Dew to get by and feel alot better. Now I just have to kick the java in the morning/afternoon.
Thanks for letting me brag here.

Way to be and sending good wishes for continued success!
Me, I've been back in "healthy" eating mode since January 1st .... and (drumroll please) am putting together the Christmast gift I got myself today ... a recumbent exercise bike (thanks for the recommendation Lil).

I'm sitting here dreading my first trip to a new gym. I just don't like the whole being new and not knowing my way around. I'll get over it, I have to!
I've been stuffing my piehole for entirely too long and am really struggling to get my eating under control. I kept telling myself that I would master eating first and then tackle the gym. Well it's been months of that now so I might as well get my ever growing ass to the gym!

Yay! I ride the recumbant bike at the gym now days. I just started too. It's hard to be the fattest person at the gym. But I won't be for long
