Watched a program on A&E last night, something like "Look up in the Sky"...while it was as much as anything a promo for the new movie, it was also an interesting look at the complete history of the character...in the end, Supe has endured for nearly 7 decades because he has been adapted to the times he lived in, while retaining the core identity & character that we all wish we could be...
Chris put himself more completely into the role than anyone who had gone before, while balancing the nerdy Clark that we all feel we really are...but in the end, he was just a man, & not one of steel as we had hoped...
One fact I had forgotten that the show reminded me of, was that the first actor to portray Superman (in voice only) was none other than Bud Collyer, later of "Beat the Clock" & "To Tell the Truth" fame...
