Huh what to say to follow all of that^^^
I will likely appear shallow, but nonetheless here are mine ...
1. I love my kids more than life itself; they are my end all be all.
2. I kept wyndhy's secret for what 5 months? Even though I wanted to rant about it on the threads in all CAPS!
3. I am an Environmental Engineer that isn't in it to save the planet, but only for the money (there you go Lil I have finally fessed up to what I do for a living).
4. I am a complete movie head, I often speak in movie quotes (that one drives wyndhy nuts sometimes)
5. I am a HARDcore NFL fan, that uses lucky whatevers to help my team (shirts, underwear, hats, action figures, whatever brings my team luck at the time), like the outcome of the game is dependant upon what shirt I have on?
6. I haven't spoken with my mother (more then just trivialities) in more than 20 years (long story there).
7. Wyndhy and my kids are my only real friends in this world.
8. I smoked pot everyday through college as well as while going to graduate school and still managed to get straight A's.
9. I am incredibly paranoid that someone I work with will figure out who I am based on some of these.
10. I am a very aggressive driver, be warned don't catch me in traffic on a bad day. For that matter I am just plain old aggressive in life, don't mess with me or my family if you know what is good for you. It may take me a millions years to exact revenge but it will come.
11. I have a very hard time trusting anyone. I barely trust Wyndhy after the 12 years we have known each other.
Wow that was tough. Thanks for listening! Hope I haven't scared anyone.

Like some others have done, I'll see if I can't add another ten little facts ...
11. Since I've retired, I've loved doing charitable work. Fund raisers; collecting goods for the poor, etc. Very rewarding.
12. I have a part time job that I enjoy because it gives me a chance to meet and visit with lots of people.
13. I still haven't gotten back into my art the way I'd hoped to ... been too busy. Still a goal of mine.
14. I love the Christmas season (which is coming up pretty quick). The lights and music have always appealed.
15. Tend to be a pretty trusting person. You almost have to convince me to not trust you.
16. I like to take drives into the countryside or visit parks.
17. I really enjoy our grandchildren and delight in the time we've had to spend with them.
18. I like to fly kites. (Don't think I've shared that before. )
19. Quit smoking 7 years ago this coming Christmas Eve.
20. I love visiting shut-ins from our church. My wife and I take communion to them and enjoy having a chance to talk with them.
21. I love Pixies-Place (Which probably comes as a surprise. )

Let me welcome you formally to the Pixie Engineering club. BTW, I have a minor in Environmental Engineering, and I pollute the world by working for a chemical company

So, this is the umpteenth time I've sat here and tried to do this thread....I wonder if i can hit enter today?
1) One of the biggest regrets of my life is dropping out of college at the end of my third year to be with the ex-hubby.
2) I have had several miscarriages, including one that was at about 6 months. Each one devastated me. And even though fate knew what was what by not putting children in that awful marriage, I will always miss not holding my child.
3) I was an only child....an oops, if you will....born after my parents had been married 23 years.....Oh, I was loved greatly by them. My mother had been told after a stillborn son during the second year of their marriage, that she would never have any more children.
4) I love my cats!!!! I have 8....they live outside tho.
5) I used to travel alot before i was married, and i miss doing that. Now this may strike you as terrible....but other than one short 4 day trip to the mountains of NC, and one weekend trip to see my best friend in another town, I've been stuck here in bumfuck for over 20 years. And I am planning on rectifying all this.
6) At work, I love my older patients the best. I always have.
7) I really do let things roll off me alot. I just choose to not let the inconsequential get me drawers in a bunch.
8) I am trying to develop a taste for red wine.
9) I was back in college when my marriage fell apart, and had to stop because of finances, after going out on my own. Once the divorce is final, I can get lots of financial aid, so I will finish this time!!! Am trying to become a medical coding specialist. After more than 20 years working in medical labs, i need to do sumpin different now.(Just noticed, i stopped school when i found him and stopped again when i finally got rid of him....now isn't that a coincidence?)
10) I think I'm more of a sexual creature now than i've ever been in my life.

I meant no offense, OzKristin. I respect the environment, and I think you'll find most of today's chemical companies are very environmentally conscious.

1. I detest cats.
2. My favorite bird is a quail, and NO, I'd never eat one!
3. It takes me a very long time to truly trust people.
4. My 4 closest friends all have blonde hair (I don't)
5. My mother lives 22 miles from here and I've not spoken to her in 6+ years, nor do I intend to.
6. I have very thin skin and am easily "bruised"
7. I've just completed Hospice training, and graduate this coming Thursday.
8. I have 6 children.
9. I'll do just about anything on a dare.
10. I pride myself on my burping abilities.

^^^^ Congrats on the upcoming graduation, Flutelady. Much luck and good thoughts your way for the path ahead, working in hospice. I'd say you'll be a caring and loving friend and caretaker.

I think I ended on number 21 last time ...
22. We've had seven children ... 4 boys and 3 girls which is coincidently the same number and distribution as our combined parents. I had one brother and my wife had two brothers and two sisters. Voila', 4 boys and 3 girls.
23. We tend to drive our cars until they drop. We've got 4 cars with almost 600,000 miles on them.
24. We like to stay in touch with friends and people that have meant a lot to us. We've been close to two couples for forty years now even though for several years we lived almost 70 miles apart and are still about 10 miles from each.
25. I love thin crust pizza with far, far too much stuff on them.
26. Been to thirteen countries and most of the states.
27. I enjoy playing around with computer graphics.
28. Collect DVDs and VHS tapes. Several hundred in my collection.
29. Still enjoy listening to vinyl records.
30. Drink my coffee black about 97% of the time. Once in a great while will have a flavored coffee but it's not my favorite.
BTW ... this thread was bumped by special request.

OK...I'll admit I asked DB to bump this thread. Thanks, sweetie for finding it for me.
This thread makes me cry. Every time. I'm so amazed how open we are with one another, and how much I care about our little community. And then I saw skip's posts.
OK....In the spirit of sharing. Some new facts about me - this is mostly new stuff.
21. I don't think I can ever go back to Ohio, I've outgrown my home
22. I love my mom but I am really mad at her because she doesn't take control of her life. I'm sad to admit it, but she is a cautionary tale for my life.
23. I'm paying for a top tier MBA, and I think I'll leave MBA school and take a pay cut to go do what I want to do with my life. I've been spending the past year working up the courage to make it happen.
24. I still wake up crying a couple times a month, which is one of the only times I let myself cry
25. I am completely off Rx for my rheumatoid arthritis, thanks to good health and working out, and that makes me really proud...one of the biggest things I've done for myself in my life.
