Exclamation Dear breast-milk-for-all,

I had to be your first and most consistent skeptic. I post that skepticism on your thread after reading your profile and visiting your home page (before you deleted it from your profile) and just didn’t find anything that I could relate to an honest academic study, the nurturing of children, the joys and jokes of parenting or anything but an obsession for lactation. That can be a joyful adult sexual experience, but none of the above categories. I read all my PMs and consider myself receptive to open thinking or I wouldn’t be here.

When your topic went to adults flashing children, I didn’t change my mind. Besides it being illegal in most societies, it is one of the agreed no-no’s at this site. As others have stated, it takes a lot to get a thread pulled off the forum here and we are happy our mods do pay attention and know we watch them as well as back them. Very little happens here on a whim or without consideration.

P.S.
gees, ... not much information in your profile idriveabucket.

Ok, I've bounced back & forth to this thread a few times, trying to control my anger...it's not working...
Yes, the mod in question is a self-confessed control freak, who has been delegated by Kim to keep the topics within certain lines...I don't always agree with the mod's decisions, but like Sharni, I know that the decisions made are in the best interests of the site...and it gripes my ass to no end to see some newbie come in & tell us how we should be running things here (don't get me wrong, I love newbies who come in & play by the rules)...
And just for the record, I've been having a bad day for several weeks now, & am very short of patience right now...ok, that's my rant, I could be wrong...

The exact same poll was not deleted on any of the parenting boards .. in fact it was embraced as an interesting social experiment.

I'll try to explain this a different way.....

Pixies place is and always be ultimately a sexually orientated site(even though quite a few non sexual threads are around)....to place a question on this site asking our thoughts on *women "DELIBERATELY" exposing her breasts to children* is not really acceptable...
A parenting site on the other hand is not(nor really should be) sexually orientated and it would probably be more accepted...

Parenting boards are there specifically to discuss children and such....Pixies place is not

Like Scotz....i may not always agree with what the Mods decide(and occassionally PM my thoughts *L*)....but i still stand behind them with their decisions....they have a difficult job trying to keep this a friendly pleasant place for ALL members

Honestly, your threads seem kinda fishy to me, too. I wonder about your Web site and fear you're using us for info . . .

If you wouldn't mind, could you post links to some of these liberal sites that embrace your posts?

I'm a member of many discussion lists and we tend to get our backs up when people come looking only to profit from our opinions.

Ive been visiting this board for 2 yrs now, and i agree completely with this comment.

"Most of all .. I'm just pissed off with people who claim to be very liberal .. and who voice their dislike of puritan ideals .. and then conduct themselves in exactly the denounced manner."

it is very true here.

I've never seen anyone come out on top here who underestimates the intelligence of Pixies People. Presumptions are even more ill-advised.

Some people can accept the referee's decision, others have an ego problem.

My outlook is this ... it's always easier to complain about the way a job is being done than to do the job .... if you've been around the site long enough, you realize that sometimes controversies arise and are allowed as long as things don't get too agressive...

You react to a story being pulled and feel slighted, but the site serve over 16,000 subscribers ... it's a big job to keep things going smoothly and if you have a problem with how 1 thing is done .... at least I hope you realize that 1000's of other things are done behind the scenes to keep the site functioning and moving forward.

To make such a blanket statement about the site over one act, which is entirely in the right of those who oversee the site to do, recognizing that there are specific statements made that underage issues are of great concern in any treatment ....

And, by the way .... there are all kinds of people who visit this site, some may even have relatively puritan values ... and if we function as a site of acceptance, that should be perfectly fine too.

OK been on too many soap boxes lately .... I'm getting off now!!!

I really hate to perpetuate this thread by posting to it, but I'm afraid I must:

If Pixies was a parenting site, we would not be under as much pressure to make sure that we don't overstep the boundaries.

However, we are not a Parenting site we are a sex site, and as such are under scrutiny to make sure that our threads and posts are always on the right side of the law. Unfortunately, while she has many other outstanding qualities, our Mod does not have a Law degree and therefore has to use her own judgement to decide what may or may not be pushing the boudaries of legality.

I'm no expert but I'd imagine the mods here have a 'If in doubt, take it out' mentality so that this site can continue to exist allowing adults such as ourselves to enjoy the harmless sexual playfulness we have found here. If someone's ideas are a little close to the mark at times, surely it's better that they be removed than the whole of Pixies be closed down, depriving all of us.

Just my opinion, of course. Any Moderator is welcome to delete this post if they wish.

bm4all & idriveabucket,

I'm surprised that you have confused this forum with a democracy. It is not, nor can it be in its current form.

Alas, but that's the way it is. Accommodate this and the other limitations you’ll find here, or take you polls elsewhere.

Jseal, thank you for stating that. This seems to be the great mis-conception on each and every message board that I have visited. The posters, for some reason, feel that they are within some artifical right to be able to post what ever it is that they want. In reality, these boards are targetted to a specific audience and specific topic. The moderators are there to make sure that things stay within the guidelines and when they decide to pull something it is their decision alone. There are no "maybes" or "grey areas" when it comes to this. If they deem the content to not be appropriate for the message board they have the option to remove it.

Quoting directly from the forum rules, that each member agreed to when joining the board, "The owners of Pixies Place Forums have the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason." The moderators, as such, are those that look out for the interests of the owners of the board. So... if your thread was removed... Do you have to like it? No. Is there anything you can do about it? No. Is it better to just leave it alone, or maybe engage the moderator in a private discussion instead of posting a thread about it? You bet.

That said, I did not have a chance to see the original "offending" thread. But I have been reading enough threads on this site to be able to say (as a somewhat conservative individual myself) this site does indeed allow for a lot more discussion of things before they get "sanctioned" by a moderator. From what I have seen, over the past year or so, the mods here are pretty even handed and should be praised for their involvement in keeping this forum well managed.

Finally, if you really can not stand the attitudes of those on this board then please feel free to move on. Otherwise, stick around and get to know the people that post here. I think that, in the end, you'll see that the folks around here do seem to be pretty good people (even the mods ).

{OK, I'll get of the soapbox now, g'night}

Pixies is a community of like minded people who come together

to talk about sex or other topics that interest us.

We have boundaries set to keep the site legal and nice to be at,

and if that's not where you want to be, don't be.

God I love this place.

Ok i have had about enough of your whining..... Do yourself a favor and get OUT. We do not want to listen to your whining and b*tching. If you dont like your thread being pulled, fine. You have expressed your puny little mind. Now go away. Go play in one of the forums that did NOT kick out your story. Oh and one more thing don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.

I'm sorry I know I'm newbie, but I like it here. I just couldn't let one rotten apple spoil it for the rest.

Sorry...

faerysflower~ this thread is old...and she had the right to express her unhappiness. We don't flame people for expressing their views even if it is their displeasure at something I have done

The cool thing about this place is that we respect eachother and show that respect sometimes regardless of whether they have earned it or not. No reason to get upset over spilt milk (pun intended) especially since this thread is so old it has surely curdled by now

Damn Loulabelle,You summed up pretty much what I was going to say.You did a much better job of it too.I will say though, that a place like Pixies IS a democracy.A democacy being of the highest political and social order is by nature progressive. But it is not always a platform in which everything can be or should be discussed.Especially when the topic is a sexual nature between adults and children. This is one of the few taboos that should remain in place in our socieity. The scrutiny of others who would love to shut a forum like this down as Loulabelle mentioned is a real problem.
