Bumping this back up...
I needed a reminder that there are wonderful, loving, participating fathers out there.... and you Pixie men serve as an important reminder for me...
Especially during times when my ex husband, the father of my child proves that he is a clueless ass!!! (Did I say that outloud? I feel better)

Ladies,
Thank you all for your compliments, and also for the delightful pics I have enjoyed here.

Jenna and friends, thank you. Father's Day is one of my favorite days. I plan to take my two munchkins (ages 7 and 3) to see Finding Nemo tomorrow. We agreed that that would be the best way for us to spend the day together.

LOL Jenna- Other things I’ve read from you leads me to believe you and he made a pretty good kid together. And he chose you to do it with. Can’t be ALL bad.
There is no job description or instruction manual with fatherhood. I regret I was not able to be closer to my father but am grateful for the bonds with my two children. I think I won in the tradeoffs of life this time.
The family history is not storybook format at all. Of the six generations I’m lucky enough to have pictures of, tales are told such as how my grandfather (2nd from bottom), after his wife’s death, became a hard-partying, crap-shooting, silk shirt-wearing man that was able to be a provider to his three kids in his way during the great depression.
He knew he had a beating coming when he came home even as a grown man because the only thing that intimidated him was his father (bottom pic). So much so that when the model A taxi pulled up two days before Thanksgiving, only two live turkeys on a rope got out when the driver opened the door.
I guess it’s shown in may ways, but I know all fathers are the blessed ones it this deal.
HAPPY FATHERSDAY TO ALL.

It was only the last year or so that I saw much of my father when he came back from the Pacific after WWII and separated from my mom. I took this last picture of him and my son at a Scouting event nine days before his death.

Thanks sooooooo much for the stories, PF! Your family should have its own section of the library! Happy father's day!

Rabbit mentioned taking their two to "Finding Nemo." My wife and I did that and there is a show worth seeing. I thought it was a delightful and charming movie and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Thanks again for the Happy Father's Day wishes. It was a good one!
