I don't think we "beat" them....I'm sure they just found somewhere that was cheaper to set up shop. I think we just made this endeavor too costly.

Lilith,

You're too modest. You beat Walmart where you fought it! Well done!

NEWS FLASH

McDonalds are negotiating to buy an unused lot in Florida from Walmart.

A reliable scource has confirmed that the source of the problem that was encountered by Walmart has been identified and has reported the findings to the national security organisation.

Aparrently the national guard has been alerted to back up a sting attack by the FBI on a medieval torture cell that has been under surveilance for some time.

California Governor Arnold Swartzenegger has promised any help that he can give to overcome this threat to society.

King George W may even pull troops out of Iraq to deal with this threat to national security, this group is linked with Al queda and have WMD.

The Al queda cell is led by an illusive but determined terroist who is code named Lilith.

More news on this story to come

Very well done Lilith. It takes a lot to stand up to any company.

While you might be happy that it is over and you can all relax, you and your community should work on by-laws, and land use plans so that no one else can / will try to build there again.

By hats off to you and your group.

Trust me they are already in place....Walmart was trying to get through by using an old existing land use agreement.

Seems that other cities are concerned with the super-sized stores as well.
