Still $2.69 locally, but in E. Peoria I filled up at $2.56 last night. Ten miles and 13 cents a gallon different. Bah, humbug!

During one of our fuel droughts of the 70s, people were travelling halfway across Sydney to buy fuel that was 3/10 of a cent cheaper per litre.
Even dicksbro's fuel is only a bargain if he's already going near the petrol station.
20 miles return trip for a saving of 13c per gallon? Lineball.

We were in E. Peoria for dinner. Didn't drive out of the way to refuel.

Dropped to $2.59 locally. Better, but still higher than some of our neighboring towns. Probably will jump today in anticipation of the weekend.

Watching a TV show called "Addicted to Money" which has said that many Westerners have probably bought their last car. It'll be too dear to run it, much less get a replacement.
Just a thought.

It was still $2.54 when I went out yesterday afternoon. Hopefully it stayed there or went down.
