LoL I guess I just didn't drink enough last night. Its just not a good weekend for the Canadian teams, Calgary is getting their ass kicked by Detroit right now too.

Yep, Detroit took care of Calgary today, winning 5-2.

And the winning goal was scored by an OLD GUY, the team captain, Steve Yzerman.

Guess, the old folks still know how to play.

Yeah -- and what a wild third period !!!!!!!!!!!!!

4 plus minutes of Power Play with a two man advantage for the Wings in the third period.

Calgary turned into a slashing machine in the third period -- since they couldn't seem to hit the net, they started hitting people with their sticks, and spent time in the box for it. There were sticks flying everywhere. Not only did they loose the game, they lost their cool -- The Wings kept theirs.

And Yzerman scored TWICE. Damned old men.

Major train wreck in the Wings net in the third.

Calgary went home spoiling for a fight - - I don't think the 3rd game is going to be pretty.

Go Flyers !!!

Yes, It's very surprising. Almost has me rooting for the Avs, and for a Red Wings fan that's a very scarey thought.

Flyers 2 -- Leafs 1

Wooo --- Hoooo !!!

THIS was a great passing game.

Scoring in hockey used to be about swarming the net. Somewhere that seemed to get lost in screen shots from the blue line and nobody was ever around to pick up the loose puck and stuff it in ...

The Flyers swarmed the net last night and did it in style. They were in Belfour's crease so much he finally took a swat at pesky Brashear with his skate in his paint.

This series could get interesting.

GO FLYERS !!!

GO WINGS, GO!

I'm not a hockey fan, but seeing as they are the most consistant of the Michigan teams (ie: pistons, lions, tigers) to win, I'm rooting for them.

In shocking upset, the tigers are doing good this year, the pistons are doing great this year, and they say that the lions got the best draft picks or some such rot.

What is the world coming to???
