I have decided not to make a vegetable garden this year...
I want to focus on the new pond I want to install...it's a rock water fall about 5 feet high...that turns into a little river..about 16 feet long that will wrap aound my deck and hold gold fish..and aquatic plants. (It could hold AQUA too ) So that's my spring project!

dzbuster---This is what I did a few yrs. ago!Send to Sears& get
their"Hothouse" kit.It is a small greenhouse&144 peat blocks.
Put your seeds in a damp paper towel, put the towel in a sandwich
bag&throw under your couch or some other place. In a few days,
the seeds will be small(about 1/2")plants.Soak the peat blocks,
dibble the seedlings into the blocks, place in greenhouse, with grow lights around it in a steady temperature room.Voila, you are now a GROWER!You're biggest expense is rolling papers. This way,
you can turn a mechanics thumb into a green thumb and save alot
and get a prime crop!My crop was grown with"Alcopulco Gold"
seeds and with patience came out excellant.Your friends will love
you! Irish
P.S.You can buy Grow Light Bulbs for almost any flourescent light
fixture. You will also need some flower pots eventually!Good Luck!

The mountians look like mid June now, there is no snow to melt so we have water. No snow no water...
This sucks the big one....

As an aside. At the time we lived in Portsmouth N.H.
I rented 1/2 a house from my B-I L,and wifes sister.
They lived in the other 1/2.On my 3rd floor, the temp.
changed so gradually, that I had sandblasted motor-
cycle parts, that didn't even rust for years. My B&S in law,
were having a home built in Maine. He asked me if he could
show the house to prospective buyers.I said yes,not think
ing that they would go on the 3rd floor.I came home from work
one day and my B-I-L was waiting to talk with me.He told me
that I should probably get rid of the plantsA Real Estate Agent
had showed prospective buyers the house that day.He said
that I was into horticulture and those were hybred tomatoe
plants. He said that he didn't think that they believed him and
said that I better get rid of the evidence or might end up in
jail.I was already on $2000 bond, waiting to go to Superior
Court for Aggravated Assult.Warning enough! Irish

Well as long as you dont go trying to sell your house (geez Irish) just remember that it is now unconstitutional for law enforcement to come into your house and search just because you have grow lights.
