Enzyte Anybody tried it..
Hi all,
Having B/P problems and the medication involved, my erections have been less than stellar. I was wondering if any one has tried the male enhancment herbs/extracts that are supposed to enhance blood flow to the nether regions. Specificly Enzyte.. http://www.enzyte.com/
Hope this isn't to dorky of a question to ask.
Thanks

No I have not but then again I don't have a penis. Please consult your physician before taking anything, even over-the-counter stuff, as it may cause sudden blood pressure differences.

It's not a dorky question at all.
I'm with Lilith on this one. Not only does she not have a penis, but her advice for you to check with a doctor first is good. A quick phone call could make a world of difference. Your pharmacist might even be able to tell you. Usually they know more about medicine than doctors.

A drug is anything that effects the way your body functions, for better or worse. An herb or natural remedy that effects the way your body functions (i.e. improves erections) is a drug. Drugs of any source, herbal or synthesized, can have harmful interactions...particularly if they are diametrically opposed (one to lower blood pressure, one to raise it). Herbal or "natural" drugs are sometimes considered milder or healthier alternatives by their proponents, this is not always true. Herbal effects can be milder, but this is generally because the effects are indirect or the efficacious substance in the concoction is diluted down by other ingredients. Because of the way "natural remedies" are regulated, they can contain many more impurities than synthetic drugs, which may or may not have effects all their own.
I have no problem with people who sucessfully use herbal remedies (although it must be said that because they're treated as nutritional suppliments, their theraputic claims are not tested as strictly as synthetic drugs), some of them can and do help people. But if they're effective, they're drugs...and you should consult your physician or at the very least your pharmacist before combining them with what you're already on. These folks went to school for years to know how to avoid the sorts of problems you can get into by self-medicating without their training. Use 'em. It'll make them feel useful.
It may well be the case that your doc can find another pbm that will be kinder to your sex life...just have to "grasp" the problem, and ask.

I wouldn't use Enzyte anyway...I don't wanna end up with that dorky grin on my face like "Bob" has in the commercials...

As everyone has said, check with your Dr.I have had slightly high pressure,
for most of my life.(never affected my erections)I'm into exercising,& I have
read about many different drugs. One of them was Yohimbe(I think)It supposedly increases your size.In reading,I found, that one thing they DON'T
tell you,is that it increases your pressure immensely. When my daughters, were
young,my youngest was prescribed Fiorinol(sp?)for pain. They made her dizzy, etc.I could take 50 of them & they wouldn't bother me.Different drugs,
effect different people differently! Irish
P.S. As said, who wants to look like Bob?
