Wouldn't Ya know it Nascar Martin Truex Jr.
I get all numbered one up I mean hat shirts then he changes Teams...... maybe this should be filed under what pissed you off today...... here ie the story
Truex Jr. to join Waltrip's team
By Staff and wire reports Wednesday, July 8, 2009
Two-time Daytona 500 winner Michael Waltrip will scale back to a partial schedule to make room for Martin Truex Jr. to join the team in 2010.
Truex will leave Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing at the end of the year to drive the No. 56 Toyota, which he drove into the Michael Waltrip Racing shop Tuesday to announce his hiring. Truex received a thunderous ovation from the MWR employees on the shop floor, as well as about 100 fans Waltrip allowed to watch the announcement from an overhead balcony.
"Welcome aboard, brother," Waltrip told his new hire.
Waltrip will keep his No. 55 but run a partial schedule. He said he'd race in at least four races -- maybe as many as 12 -- and longtime sponsor NAPA was committed to sponsoring him in next season's Daytona 500.

Hey, just be thankful you didn't go over the edge like some guy I saw on a pre-race show earlier this season. They had several folks in a Q&A w/Dale Jr... one guy shows his #8 ink & asks Dale what he should do with this tattoo?
I loved it when JR responded, "I don't know...I don't have any tattoos, what DO you do with a tattoo?" with just a hint of annoyance in his voice.

Really? The guy couldn't figure out that he should turn an 8 into an 88? He deserves to be a Jr. fan.
I was slightly ticked off last season when Tony decided to leave Joe Gibbs... now I have all this orange #20 stuff... I look like I root for Logano!

The drivers dance has begun. I see DEI, Inc having a hard time keeping good drivers.

It didn't look like that would work for this guy...the "8" was centered directly under the usual "3" with angel wings...another DE Sr. fan that decided to transfer his allegiance to Junior. My thought was similar to yours, except that getting a tat with the # of any living driver was something only an Earnhardt fan would think of as a good idea. Personally, I've always thought tats are too permanent to put under my skin...something I decided years ago when a friend of mine had homemade inking of a girl's name on his knuckles...a girl he broke up with 2 yrs earlier...what a DA...

I think it was the late Benny Parsons who called it "the Silly Season"
