Orlando to Titusville
Mrs Oldfart and I want to go to the last shuttle launch in September this year. We've been trying to work out the best way of getting there (Orlando to Titusville) without driving or catching a taxi.
Any ideas?

Walking?
Sorry, I don't know the area so I can't really help.

I was hoping that someone from central-southern Florida may have some insight.

There may be an Amtrak route that goes that direction.

I'll bet you can take a shuttle to the shuttle, pun intended. Seriously, I'm sure there are bus shuttles to do that very thing from Orlando. You might try a google search for those services. I'm in Florida but several hundred miles away from Orlando, so I probably can't do any better than you can on the internet. Good luck and have a safe and fun trip in September.

No Amtrak connection, FallenAngel5.
We keep hitting brick walls with the internet search.
It would be cheaper to cab it, with the prices they're asking for Titusville waterfront accommodation.
Thanks Joe.

I don't know of any way other than driving. It's near the wildlife preserve. There are loads of snakes and gators in those parts.

there might be so private bus excursions that do that .... but the best way is to drive and we watched from along route 1 though I think where we were was actually A1A This is what I found on the internet The view from anywhere in Titusville along the Indian River, running the length of U.S. Route 1 from Garden Street in the north, down to around Highway 50 in the south, is perfectly clear across the water to both launch pads.

It's only about a 1/2hr drive from our Florida home(W.Melbourne)to the shuttle
launch site. But we're going back to NH in a wk&1/2,perhaps some other
arraingments could be made. You know how to get in touch with me,privately
as well as thru Pixies!Keep in touch if I can be of any help! Irish
P.S. I don't know of any way to get there without driving!
