Yesterday was a Tae Kwan Do tournament that Mayhem and my 9 y/o competed in. During the sparring part of the competition, participants get points awarded to them by connecting a strike or kick to a well padded midsection/side or head. Midsection is 1 point per strike/kick, and head shots are 2 points per strike/kick. Helpful/encouraging cheering is encouraged to the crowd. So we were cheering, and a young boy next to us was quite enthusiastic about his favorite participant getting the 2 point shots in.....
