Wife and I were wondering about Scotz this morning. Hopefully he's coming through all this in pretty good shape. I know the power outages don't help and the water contamination must be a nightmare. Hearts go out to all that have been hurt by the flooding.

I think last count I heard was 30 dead, I'd have to look into it.

Heard yesterday on the news that the downtown area of Nashville is free of water now and that slowly things are returning to normal. Still a lot to be done, but at least that's a bit of good news.

I thought it was rather funny hearing about there being so much flood water that it was burying cars in one breath, and then hearing about them pumping water out of basements the next. I kept wondering where they were pumping water to that it would just flood back in.

My sone who fucked around and gave up his scholarship. So apparently his new plan is to be the dude who has no job and sits in his bedroom in his parents' house playing online RPGs and translating song lyrics into Latin. Unfortunately for him I have other plans.
