This stretch of winter weather we're having in this part of the country has given me a terrible case of cabin fever. Thoughts of Spring and Summer have been floating around in my mind seemingly forever. Just wondering does anybody have a vacation planned during the next six months or so?

I'm still trying to put the finishing touches on my plans (seems as if I've been trying to do that for a long time now) but hopefully I'll be on the road to California and/or Texas before I know it.

I'm planning a trip to Sunny San Diego and La Jolla in July. I cannot wait to see those palm trees! It'll be my first real vacation in 3 years!

We;re headed to Columbus, OH, in late May for my sister in law's wedding...but that doesn't really feel like much of a vacation - it'll be fun but hard work!

Now that I think about it, I may see if I can get my mom to let me take her down there for a day or two if I get out to California. She tells me every year how she'd like to see a Cubs game with me and I see that they just happen to be playing the Padres (and the Dodgers) during the time I've got tentatively set to make the trip. Imagine that.

Hey Scarecrow............don't forget we're doing Cedar Point sometime this summer!!!!!!

Hmmmmm...we were gonna go to Key Largo in April but I think we've rethunk that trip. It would be with Mr. Lixy's boss and his wife. And not that they suck to be around...but it's his boss...arrggggggg!

Before Mr. Lixy got so high up in the company, and before the company started making millions of dollars a year, Mr. Lixy and his boss were great friends. We used to scuba dive together and investigated some pretty cool ship wrecks. Got some GIANT Jersey lobster...had great dock parties...etc.

Then we moved to the Keys. The boss enticed us back to Pa. with the statement, "Come back and start reaping the benefits of the company you helped start."

Now, the boss has a two houses (a Jersey shore house and his million dollar home near us) and he's looking for property in the Keys to build and has three BMW's and two BMW bikes and a Harley and a 2007 Toyota truck and a 2006 SUV for his wife and two vehicles for two of his three children and so on and so on and so on............

So...we were gonna fly to Key Largo and dive the boss's yacht (Oh...did I mention he has a yacht?) and get the barnacles off of the bottom and troll it up to central Florida and moor it till he can bring it back north safely (in spring). But we got to thinking...Who's "reaping the benefits" here???????????

Damnitalltohell! I wanna do the Keys again!

I guess my answer is Yes...um...NO...with a story to go with it!

That new Roller Coaster is at Cedar Point. Now all we need to do is to set a time.

This is going to be surprising, but we are planning a camping trip to Banff / Jasper this summer. Last summer my parents, two sisters and there families all went camping for 8 days. So this year we are looking at doing the same but extending it for 10 days.
