PantyFanatic
08-19-2017, 05:40 PM
Oh how I try to but it is in your face everywhere. :banghead: Now I just refuse to be involved. Sadly, :( I believe our system has become so corrupt I refuse to even vote. (DON'T be like me  )

T/F: You think summer is going by faster than winter did.

dicksbro
08-20-2017, 01:03 AM
True. Way too fast. I wasn't ready for my wife to go back to work up at the school. Of course, when I was going to grade school, we never started school until after Labor Day. Now they start near the middle of August. :(

T or F: You have been known to go out komando sometimes.

gekkogecko
10-04-2017, 08:50 AM
Since 'sometimes' is a sub-set of 'all the time', True.

T or F: Work has you run extra-ragged right about now.

dicksbro
10-05-2017, 12:39 AM
If by work ... you mean all the things to do around the house plus all the things we do for church and the things we do for friends ... we've definitely been busy with no let up in sight. Oh, that's right, we've got a luncheon today with three couples from back before I retired. We get together about every two or three months for lunch or brunch.

T or F: During warm weather, you prefer shorts rather than jeans or slacks.

dicksbro
11-09-2017, 04:07 AM

dicksbro
12-17-2017, 05:50 AM
I am ... but in a more casual form. I don't get into the details as much as I do trying to understand what's being learned or developed based on scientific research. Astronomy is maybe my favorite area of casual interest.

T or F: You're expecting a lot of guests over the Christmas holidays.

gekkogecko
12-17-2017, 12:05 PM
False. The mammal I married broke her foot, and the house is completely discombobulated.

T or F: You're tired of canned, endlessly-repeated Christmas Carols in the stores.

dicksbro
12-18-2017, 02:10 AM
In some cases yes, although there are a number of cute or well done cards that aren't too bad.

T or F: The worst part of Christmas is that they almost start wanting you to buy for the next one before the current on even gets here. :(

PantyFanatic
12-19-2017, 01:15 AM
So very true. I've been able to maintain my 'done by Thanksgiving' Christmas shopping for quite a few years now and that is the primary reason.

T or F: You do enjoy the visits with friends and the special time with just family more than any part of the season.

dicksbro
12-19-2017, 02:11 AM
T although I put Thanksgiving on an equal footing for family and friend visits. I like Thanksgiving because it's not so commercial. It's simply a time to think about friends and family and rejoice in the blessings we have. Christmas would come close without the mad rush to buy things we don't need and probably shouldn't waste our money on. Oh well ... Merry Christmas everyone! :xmas:

T or F: You're planning on getting together with family over the holidays?

gekkogecko
01-02-2018, 05:33 AM

True or False: You are directly affected by the Federal Government shutdown.

dicksbro
01-22-2018, 02:26 AM
False except to the extent that we're all at increased risk by suspending projects related to our national security and to our military and first responder folks and a lot of federal workers. I can't really see the pressing need for this radical refusal to fund American interests; especially since the concerns that prompted it have until March to get addressed. :( Seems like risky politics at a time we don't need them.

jseal
02-03-2018, 02:36 PM

T or F: You have been keeping up with the Google Doodles for the Olympics.

dicksbro
02-15-2018, 01:08 AM
False. Haven't really followed the Olympics this time around other than looking at the "medal count" when I log onto the internet. Not sure why ... usually I love watching Downhill Skiing; Figure Skating; and the Toboggans at the winter games.

jseal

False: I don't have a car.

T or F: You also had to deal with snow & slush falling overnight last night.

dicksbro
02-19-2018, 03:53 AM
Not last night *I actually haven't looked, but none was predicted), but, Saturday we had about 2" plus or minus. This was a heavy wet snow and not any fun to shovel. Fortunately, yesterday was warm enough most of it melted away except for the piles and snow caught in the shadows.

T or F: You car needs to get washed.

Big time

dicksbro
02-24-2018, 03:40 AM
False on going to the movies. There are a couple playing that normally we might try to see one ... but today is just too busy. We've got a church function this morning with a funeral later and an afternoon get-together with our daughter and her family to celebrate her daughter's little girl's second birthday. The little girl celebrating is our second of two great grand-children and you just can't miss that. Plus, there's a retreat going on and we're going to stop in and write some letters of support for those making the weekend. We do that whenever these weekends are held.

T or F: You have great grandchildren, too.

You like to go camping

dicksbro
02-28-2018, 02:44 AM
Haven't been for a number of years but we used to go a lot. Tent camping and then with a pop-up trailer. We were close with two couples for over 50 years and camped a lot with them. So "yep", we do ... although we're getting a bit old and don't have the tent, camper, or, our final camping shelter ... a fiberglass camper on a 1-ton Chevy chassie. That was the berries.

T or F: You like to fish.

gekkogecko
02-28-2018, 10:04 AM

dicksbro
04-19-2018, 12:38 AM
At least this year it seems like it's true ... we've seen so many pictures on the news and weather channels of the fires burning so fiercely there in the western Oklahoma. Hope you get some rains soon that'll help put out these fires.

T or F: This has been a strange weather year in your neck of the woods.

gekkogecko
04-19-2018, 04:21 AM

PantyFanatic

T or F? You find it hard to believe the leaves are starting to turn already. :(

dicksbro
10-03-2018, 11:03 PM

T or F: You've got limbs that need pruning on some of your trees.

gekkogecko
10-04-2018, 09:08 AM

T or F: The wonky weather this year means not a lot of leaves to rake up yet thsi autumn (Northern Hemisphere only).

dicksbro

PantyFanatic

T or F? You find power tools a great thing.

dicksbro

PantyFanatic
