True quite often.

T or F?
You have ALWAYS carried a small pocket knife of some sort or the other.

True ... a bottle and can opener.

T or F: The cost of replacement batteries makes electric vehicles less desirable.

True. ... As much as we need a change, that one is going to be hard to make happen. :tear:

T or F?
Is there enough 'nonpolluting' electric generation to make the electric auto 'recharging', to not just move the problem away from the vehicle and driver but to cause MUCH more demand on the power stations that are already an over loaded system.

F ... there is not enough non-polluting electric generation. Chances are the recharging would cause more coal burning to generate the electricity needed. Not to mention when the batteries eventually die (about 10 years), the cost to replace them is horrendous.

T or F: You've already had a taste of warmer Spring like weather?

Well, certainly true, if you count today.

True on the Spring-like weather. Even today, starting how wind and chilly but turning out pretty nice with temps reaching into the low 50s and now around 45F. Expected worse so this is welcome.

T/F: You think the US should suspend/cancel all oil shipments from Russia as the sales are helping Putin to finance the attack on a free and sovereign nation.

Fence sitter on this one.
True, the payments to Russia do go to their general fund, and their largest current expense is the prosecution of the illegal war in Ukraine.

But in truth, the oil imports from Russia are such a tiny amount of what the US imports-the majority of what it imports is from Canada-that adding this sanction on top of the others is unlikely to have much, if any, effect.

T or F:
You prefer having complicated, uncertain-of-your-role sex to having complicated, uncertain-of-nuance discussions of international politics.

The imports from Russia so far have cost the US about 1 BILLION dollars. And it was all unnecessary as we have reserves of oil that are expected to last 400 years or so and natural gas that is expected to last even longer. I would have rather seen that $1 billion go to the Ukraine.

T or F: Did you see reports that Ukrainian people killed are not being buried but burned where they lay? With luck maybe Putin will have a heart attack! :wish:

False. I did not see such reports. I wouldn't be surprised if this were happening, even on a large scale, though.

T or F:
You prefer organ meats to the more usual muscle meats available in Western society.

T or F: You're concerned that the Ukraine is a harbinger of WW3?

True, could easily be.

T or F:
Your local area is getting some much-needed rain.

dicksbro

F ... a bit of snow tonight but no rain. And, I think our ground is in pretty good shape for now at least.

T or F: You're anxiously awaiting the beginning of National and American league baseball.

gekkogecko

False, I find baseball generally boring

T or F:
The supply chain disruptions are getting worse where you live.

True ... major stores are showing a lot of unused shelf space. Is this part of the Build Back Better plan?

T or F: You've always wanted to belong to the "Hunter/Gatherer" part of humanity?

gekkogecko

True to some extent-I do have a desire for hunting and fishing. But not to the extent that I want to make it my lifestyle.

T or F:
You have found a route that you trust to get contributions to Ukrainian refugee/relief efforts.
